How does hypnotherapy work? 

When we relax deeply the unconscious mind becomes more accessible to us - think about daydreaming, 

or how suddenly you will think of the answer to a problem after a good night's sleep.

Hypnosis allows the therapist better access to change the template for those phobias, habits or difficulties.

Using metaphors, stories and other techniques it is possible to gently allow the unconscious mind 

to consider a different way of reacting to the specific problem, and consider the possibilities of how life will be

 improved now the change has been effected. 

Thus eating healthy will be effortless and actually looking forward to getting on that airplane, 

giving birth will be exciting  instead of dreading it!

What can Hypnosis help me with?

Healing with trance states has been used in many cultures down the ages. 

Hypnosis is a very pleasant state of deep relaxation when your desired goals can more easily be suggested to your 

unconscious. You are totally in control and will be taught techniques you can use at home 

to help you relax more easily.

What will happen in a session?
First we will discuss the reason for you coming to see me, and any background information that will help us form goals together and decide on what you would like to achieve from the session.
Once we have agreed your goals and established how you are going to reach them, we can begin to increase your ability to relax deeply and practise using your imagination in a positive way.  Often your goals can be achieved in a single session.
